First Deputy Commandant Hellenic Coast Guard Vice Admiral H.C.G Nikolaos An. Isakoglou
He was born in Piraeus.
He studied Sociology at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences and is excellent graduate of master's degree in Criminology.
In 1992, he joined the Hellenic Coast Guard and in 1994, he was sworn as Ensign.
He has attended a series of postgraduate courses and seminars on thematic issues such as, maritime labour, maritime training, criminology, drugs, security, emergency political planning and negotiation techniques. He is certified by the International Training Center of the International Labour Organization as a trainer of maritime labour inspectors.
During his career, he participated as a representative of the Ministry of Shipping and Insular Policy in Working Groups, Subcommittees, Committees of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO). Furthermore, he participated in the Coordination Meeting for Experts of the Member States of the European Union and in the Diplomatic Conference that has approved in 2010 the amendments of the International Convention on Standards of training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (S.T.C.W.) which he co-signed. He served as a member of the Committee of Special Sciences to support the work/project of the Scientific Association for the Promotion of the Educational Innovation of the Ministry of Education and Religions, Culture and Sports in professional certification examinations of the specialty «the Maritime Specialist».
As an officer of the Hellenic Coast Guard he served at the Central Port Authority of Piraeus, the Port Authority of Andros, the Port Authority of Tinos as Head of the Port Authority and the Port Authority of Rafina as well as in the Multinational Sealift Coordination Center of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff. He also served as an Assistant Director in the Office of Internal Affairs of Hellenic Coast Guard and then as Director in the Seafarers’ Labour Directorate/and in the Directorate of the Hellenic Coast Guard Personnel. During the years 2012-2014 he served as Maritime Attachés in Consulate General of Hamburg. Moreover, he was assigned Commander of the 1st Regional Command of the Hellenic Coast Guard based in Piraeus while at the same time he acted as Inspector of the Hellenic Coast Guard of Southern Greece.
On 03-6-2020 he was promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral and appointed to the position of the Second Deputy Commandant. Then, on 03-12-2020 he was promoted to the rank of Vice Admiral H.C.G. and on 18-03-2021 was elected to fill the vacancy of the First Deputy Commandant.

He is father of two daughters.
